Leopoldina-Workshop

05.05.2014

Sustainability seems to be one of the most common buzzwords of the 21st century. Used in nearly all fields and areas, sometimes more or sometimes less clearly defined, this term raises a range of questions for science. The German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina invited to the workshop on the relation between science and sustainability. Leading scientists from different disciplines examined this complex matter over the course of three lecture sessions. Research on sustainability, which is ultimately an interdisciplinary endeavor, were highlighted as well as the process and nature of researching itself.
