Climate Neutrality Forum to identify policy recommendations ahead of COP26

Bringing together leading researchers, policymakers and practitioners working on achieving climate neutrality, the Climate Neutrality Forum will take place on 8-10 September 2021. Conducted simultaneously at three hubs – Berlin, Milan and Oxford –, it will be linked together to create a blended event that is both in-person and virtual in nature. Delegates will be drawn from academic, policy, civil society and business communities. The objective is to identify a suite of high-impact policy recommendations. These will be presented ahead of the COP26 UN climate change conference with the aim of raising ambition.

With in-person participation at the three hub locations and online, this multi-hub blended meeting is designed to showcase how international events can be conducted in a way that is consistent with a transition to a zero-emission future. The organisers recognise the value of in-person meetings to enable the serendipity that comes from bringing people together from a range of viewpoints. Therefore, the organisers will seek to enhance this with online networking between participants in the three locations.

This event will be co-hosted by the MCC (Berlin), the RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment (Milan), and Oxford Net Zero at the University of Oxford.
